Its been a while
Well, its been a long time between waves as they say! Lots on at work, sleepless nights with little kids etc. doesn't make it easy to get out for a few waves.
I learnt to snowboard this past winter, which was great. I am addicted to riding snow and waves now!
I am now getting back into the groove of trying to score some dawn sessions before work. We have been blessed with some nice clean East and North East swells which mean all my favourite logging spots have been firing.
Lots to talk about in the coming months ... some surf trips, some more board restorations and repairs and shaping my first board ... a 'Lis' fish.
That's all for now.
Be nice and share out there. C.

Hi, you almost lost me for one second there... but I'm glad I didn't click away. First, I enjoyed your post, and second, maybe you can help. I don't know how much blog spam you get but I get tons on my blog. Most of the time I'm talking about used surf board stuff because I have a used surf board website, and people post all this junk with their links and stuff. As blog owners, I guess we'll always be subject to the unethical and inconsiderate. Well, hopefully it's not driving you to crazy... Good luck partner, enjoy the positives friend.
Bye ~

Wow coastie how did I get here? I was trying to find some info on wind forecasts so goodness knows why the last link I clicked on brought me here. But although there is nothing about wind forecasts, I'd like to say what a good job you've done with Its been a while

Howdy coastie,
I'm impressed with what you wrote here in your Its been a while post. I gave up my search for used surfboard information and wanted to hang out here on your blog - well done. I might make a blog like yours about used surfboard, but I wouldn't try to compete with you. You're doing a great job coastie.
You got a great thing going... by friend.

There are some really strange postings on Its been a while. Surely, if people wanted information on stuffwork. go windsurfing t-shirts, they would visit a site such as windsurfing t-shirts and get all the info on windsurfing t-shirts.

Hey coastie...
How did you get your blog to be so good? Originally I was out trying to locate new surf board related information, but your post ' Its been a while ' got my attention and stopped me in my tracks :) Glad I found you because I'm trying to improve my site about new surf board and your blog here gave me some excellent ideas. Thanks coastie for the good read and I think I'll mention your blog to my cousin (if that's okay...)
Keep up your effort ~ and good job.

Searching for info on windsurfing t-shirts can be tedious, but posts like yours help to energize me and keep me looking. Even though Its been a while is not an exact match for windsurfing t-shirts, I'll continue browsing, and hope to find more gems like this.

coastie, I need a little inspiration... I've read your post 'Its been a while', I enjoyed it so I decided to comment. I've been thinking about my blog and how there are all these people posting strange comments there. Maybe you understand, I'm not sure, but it's tiring to read the numbers of comments that don't have much to do with my stuff. My normal surf boards website never suffers this because it just sells surf boards and isn't a blog. Do you have any ideas for how to stop the cluttering of non-relevant comments? Thanks for your great blog. Tips are always welcome...
good day -

Whilst you were on your way to the Goldie, I was down at the Ruins on Saturday morning.
When getting dried I spotted a hot looking DVS fish on the grass next to me. Had a chat to the owner. Reckons it's soooo sweet. He was about 6'4, and at 93kgs he was riding a 6'4 x 21.5 x 3 DVS and he reckons he's given away his shortboards.
Hope you score some good waves up the coast. Looking forward to seeing the results from the fish project......eh, bro?
